Have you ever feel stuck? ⁣Stuck in…

Your body⁣
That job you hate ⁣
That toxic relationship
Your own head⁣

⁣𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨. I was asked recently on a podcast interview about a time in my life where I felt really stuck. ⁣⁣

First thing that came to mind: 𝘨𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩 𝘮𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘤𝘦⁣⁣

𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 in a miserable marriage. ⁣Once we decided to divorce, I was stuck in a body I hated. I was stuck in my sadness and my depression. I was stuck 1000 miles away from my family. I was stuck in negativity. ⁣⁣

I had to figure out how to get “unstuck” because 𝐈 𝐤𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐨 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞. Being that miserable was not a choice for me. Living in that negativity was not a choice for me.⁣⁣

𝐌𝐲 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 & 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 & 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠⁣⁣

𝐁𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 – take whatever time you need to process your feelings. Yes, “things will get better” but right now things may really suck and you may just need some time. That is OKAY.⁣⁣

𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 & 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞. Literally, that’s it. You don’t need to know the “how”; you just need to decide and declare that you are making a change in your life.⁣⁣ This may sound silly, but I am being so serious. You decide you are making a change and you start saying it out loud – to yourself and to other people. By doing this you are also “convincing” your subconscious, which will in turn directly effect your subconscious behaviors (in a good way).

𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Don’t overlook the small things. Small, baby steps lead to the biggest changes with the least amount of overwhelm.⁣⁣ Get up and get dressed, drink an extra glass of water, block his number, put in an application for a new job, go for a walk, sign up for that coaching program, get a gym membership. You see where I am going with this, right?

𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐮𝐞𝐥 & 𝐦𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 – physical and mental health are directly and intricately intertwined. Get back to taking care of your body and being mindful of what you shove in your mouth. ⁣⁣Even if it is only 10 minutes a day, that’s okay! You just need to break the pattern you have been in that has created the problem in the first place. Start with more clean protein, fruits, veggies, whole grains etc.

𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘢𝘺 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭 𝘴𝘵𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘯𝘰𝘸: 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺, 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺… 𝘐 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵, 𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶. Things will get better as long as you decide it will and as long as you do the work. Take some inventory, do some reflection. I hope the steps above help you with where to start. 𝐈 𝐡𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐮𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐜𝐤 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥 𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮.⁣ You can and you will do this. Just remember: whether you say you can or you cannot… you are right.
